What do we do?

We provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to help improve the lives of children and families impacted by autism.

What is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically-validated intervention to support individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) based on decades of research and endorsed by leading health agencies.

It applies the science of behavior analysis. The goal of ABA is to improve socially significant behaviors while decreasing behaviors that might interfere with independent functioning or behaviors that pose a safety risk.

Efficacy of ABA Therapy

More than 20 studies have established that intensive and long-term ABA therapy improves outcomes for children with autism.

These studies show gains in intellectual functioning, language development, daily living skills and social functioning.

ABA services

Our SOAR program is a comprehensive early intervention program that provides individualized ABA therapy to enhance school readiness for children.
The program aims to produce positive changes across functional areas including cognitive, adaptive, social and emotional domains, and ranges from highly structured lessons to more naturalistic, play-based programming.

Our SOAR program is 20 to 40 hours per week.

Our SPARK program is a focused ABA treatment program that targets a smaller number of treatment goals and is appropriate for individuals who need treatment in a select number of key functional skills, or have acute behavior that should be prioritized.

Our SPARK program is 10 to 20 hours per week.

Social Skills

Our Social Skills program is designed to work on pro-social behavior through group interactions.
Each child is assessed individually to ensure proper group placement that focuses on their individual needs.

We offer our Social Skills program as part of our Soar or Spark program.

Our Parent Participation Training program works with parents to ensure skills learned in therapy are incorporated into their child’s daily routine and reinforced consistently at home.
Parents who are actively involved in their child’s therapy often see more progress in their child.

We offer our Parent Participation Training program as part of our Soar or Spark program.

Obtaining a diagnosis of autism is often the first step in helping a child with autism. A diagnosis is determined through a diagnostic evaluation, which is required for ABA therapy.

A comprehensive diagnostic evaluation uses questionnaires, interviews, natural environment observations, and diagnosis-specific testing instruments to provide specific diagnoses for autism. The diagnostic report is reviewed with the family to guide next steps for getting the child the support they need.

How to get a diagnostic evaluation?
We can help you through the process of obtaining a diagnostic evaluation. We currently offer diagnostic evaluations at our locations in Texas (Austin and San Antonio) and Colorado (Colorado Springs, Castle Rock, and South Centennial / Denver).

We also have close relationships with local diagnosticians at all our locations and can connect you with the appropriate clinician to get started.

If you are seeking a diagnostic evaluation for your child

Most health insurance companies are mandated by law to cover ABA therapy for children diagnosed with autism. We work with most commercial insurance companies and Tricare, and accept Medicaid in select locations.

We are here to help you navigate the process with your insurance! Once you get started with us, we will guide you through step-by-step and work on your behalf to make sure the services your child needs are covered by your health insurance.

We have an easy, stress-free onboarding process. We strive to be a partner and advocate for you and your child from the very beginning. Just fill out the form below and begin the first step in your journey with us.

intake process for ABA

Initial Contact
After the get started form, if we have an upcoming opening for services, our Intake team will send you our online intake packet to start the intake process and will be available to answer your questions. If there is no current availability, you are automatically added to our waitlist.

We've Got This
Once all required intake documents are received, our Intake team will review your information to ensure eligibility and confirm that we are in-network with your insurance. Our team will work with you to navigate any further documents required for your specific insurance.

Meet Your Team
Your local Mindcolor team will connect with you to schedule a center tour where we'll show you our facilities, explain how ABA therapy is conducted, and discuss how we can support your child. After the tour, if we're a fit for your child, we will schedule the initial assessment.

The Assessment
The initial assessment involves direct observations, testing, and interviews to determine the direction of therapy. Our clinical team will discuss the treatment plan and the details of therapy. Onboarding documents will be given to complete before and after the assessment.

Welcome to Mindcolor Autism
Once the treatment plan and therapy schedules are finalized, our Insurance team will submit the request for therapy to your insurance for approval. Once approved, your child's ABA therapy with us begins.
