What do we do?
We provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services to help improve the lives of children and families impacted by autism.
What is ABA?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically-validated intervention to support individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) based on decades of research and endorsed by leading health agencies.
It applies the science of behavior analysis. The goal of ABA is to improve socially significant behaviors while decreasing behaviors that might interfere with independent functioning or behaviors that pose a safety risk.
Efficacy of ABA Therapy
More than 20 studies have established that intensive and long-term ABA therapy improves outcomes for children with autism.
These studies show gains in intellectual functioning, language development, daily living skills and social functioning.

Growing
Minds
The Growing Minds center-based program is designed for early learners ages 2 to 5 and offers a comprehensive daily experience lasting between 6 and 8 hours, Monday through Friday. Our thoughtful and play-based programming emphasizes a diverse range of early language and learning skills. The primary objective in the Growing Minds program is to bridge the developmental gap for young children, helping them catch up to their peers. We focus on essential skills across various areas, including cognitive, communication, social, behavioral, and adaptive domains. Key areas of emphasis include language and communication, social interaction and referencing, emotional coping and tolerance, pre-academic skills, safety awareness, cognitive growth, and self-care abilities. Through this program, we aim to provide a nurturing environment that fosters development and prepares children for future learning success.
Colorful
Connections
The Colorful Connections center-based program is tailored for learners ages 6 to 9 and provides a hybrid experience spanning 3 to 5 hours daily, Monday through Friday, or 6 to 8 hours for two or three days weekly. This program focuses on equipping children with the essential skills necessary for success in other educational environments, specifically targeting areas such as social skills and safety awareness. Designed for children who need to develop a select set of foundational skills vital for health, safety, inclusion, and independence, the program addresses behaviors including, but not limited to, safety practices, following directions, social interactions, self-care routines, independent leisure activities, communication, feeding, toileting, and medical and dental care routines. The program also aims to facilitate the generalization and maintenance of skills learned for children who participated in Mindcolor’s Growing Minds Program. Colorful Connections may not be suitable for every child within this age range, as specific clinical criteria must be fulfilled.
Vibrant
Pathways
The Vibrant Pathways is a continuation program for learners ages 10-13 that focuses on targeted skill development as well as the generalization and maintenance of previously acquired skills. Key areas of focus include coping strategies, time management, self-management, social skills, and establishing daily routines. This program is offered at select Mindcolor locations, but is not available at all of them. In locations where it is available, Vibrant Pathways may not be suitable for every child within this age range, as specific clinical criteria must be fulfilled.
our programs

Obtaining a diagnosis of autism is often the first step in helping a child with autism. A diagnosis is determined through a diagnostic evaluation, which is required for ABA therapy.
A comprehensive diagnostic evaluation uses questionnaires, interviews, natural environment observations, and diagnosis-specific testing instruments to provide specific diagnoses for autism. The diagnostic report is reviewed with the family to guide next steps for getting the child the support they need.
How to get a diagnostic evaluation?
We can help you through the process of obtaining a diagnostic evaluation. We offer diagnostic evaluations at our locations in Colorado (Denver), Nebraska (Omaha), Texas (Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio), and Wisconsin (Madison and Milwaukee).

Meet Your Team
Your local Mindcolor team will connect with you to schedule a center tour where we'll show you our facilities, explain how ABA therapy is conducted, and discuss how we can support your child. After the tour, if we're a fit for your child, we will schedule the initial assessment.
The Assessment
The initial assessment involves direct observations, testing, and interviews to determine the direction of therapy. Our clinical team will discuss the treatment plan and the details of therapy. Onboarding documents will be given to complete before and after the assessment.
Welcome to Mindcolor Autism
Once the treatment plan and therapy schedules are finalized, our Insurance team will submit the request for therapy to your insurance for approval. Once approved, your child's ABA therapy with us begins.
